Pond build single skin wall height?

Postby Fezz998 » Wed Mar 08, 2017 9:49 pm

Hi guys, newbie here, I'm just building a pond, only small, 120cm x 150cm, depth wise I hit some sewer pipes so I can't dig below 18", I also don't have space for more than a single skin brick wall so how high can I go?

There is so many variables that could give you a different answer here. So many people to give you so many different opinions and in fact that's all they are. If you are fibreglassing you can go a lot higher than I would recommend with say a liner.

I have 3 filter chambers that are fibreglass and free standing with no bricks 120cm x 120cm by 3.5ft tall lol

Given the dimensions of this small pond I believe you will be fine with single skin up to 3 feet above ground. I bought fish of a chap who did a similar build single skin and render with pond paint 5ft x 5ft x 5ft with 2 ft below ground and 3 above. He had no issues.

Best of luck with it.
