Nishikigoi Submersible UV nexus 210

Hi,

Looking to get a Nishikigoi Submersible UV as my water is pea soup can I place one of these down the inlet which the 85cm version will fit don't really want to go down external route

pond is 10000 litres

I have been wondering a similar thing. I guess you are concerned about degrading the plastic?

is that part of the nexus made from the mottled grey plastic that the body is?

reason i ask is my EA uv filter is made from same plastic as nexus body so must be UV safe?

second point is caution, so long as there can be no accidental exposure to your eyes of the UV lamp so how open is the inlet?

Hi Mate

Wont that take up too much area in the pipework thus slowing the flow too much?

Well my thoughts were to put the submersible UV somewhere around where the auto-fill has been put in this picture:

It should be relatively easy to put an extra cowl in place to shield the eyes directly. I could even get flashy with a microswitch to turn it off if the top is opened, or the water level drops.
