Hi Rigger, I tried calling you the other day with regards my filter set
up, but you were out and I didn't manage to find the time to have
a little play until yesterday afternoon, so this is what I have done
now.

Bay 1 (Vortex) = Flocor (Just a little at the bottom) and at the entrance
to bay 2 some sponge filter media.
Bay 2 = Brushes
Bay 3 = Jap mat
Bay 4 = Filter wool (top) Alphagrog (bottom)
Bay 5 = Alphagrog

I know you send to hang the Alphagrog in socks to ease
cleaning, but this will help clean my hands when it comes
to it [:)].

So your thoughts our inhouse Kockney [:)]

Also Rigger if I wanted to put an air stone in the filter
at what point should it go and what are the benfits?

looks ok m8,maybe if you moved the brushes into the vortex, ill tell you why!
brushes are used to remove the largest lumps of crud and b/weed so they are of little use after a finer foam or sponge,[:)]
move the jap matt and filter wool down one chamber and then put the flocor in bay 3 ok m8[:)][:)]
or you could put some k1 in there bout 10-20lts and add an air stone from a 20ltr a min air pump i wouldnt go any bigger than that in such a small chamber!

I installed a Blacknight vortex brush into the vortex earlier in the week and its unbelievable how much crud it has kept in the vortex, previously the brushes in bay 2, were govered in crud after a couple of days, theres only a small amount on them after almost a week. Just need to see how things go over the next few months and I may have to change this bay to biological filtration as well.
